What a wonderful way to cap off the special day.....you only turn 40 once! How incredible is it that in the same year you get engaged, buy your first home , are getting married to the love of your life you are also celebrating a mile stone birthday. What better way to celebrate than to be given a gift that highlights a passion you have felt your entire life. Photography has been in my heart and soul for as long as I can remember.  I have always loved the fact that all it takes is one glance at a great photograph to take you immediately back to that specific event in time. Regardless of how successful our lives have been, one look at a photo of you in junior high immediately brings back a rush to your senses of all of the things you experienced at that actual time. While a childhood photo may bring you back to that time when you forgot your locker combination and had 80's hair, it’s that same feeling that makes memories and automatically brings an emotion to life. In the same regards, the pride I felt at my daughter’s high school graduation is so similar to the relaxed feeling of surf and sunshine I felt on a family vacation. The fact that one simple image could bring back so many memories has always filled me with excitement and an endless drive to continue to make those memories matter. It is with great love that I was given my first Nikon 5100 camera for my 40th birthday. The fact that one simple gift given to help create memories , could cause my usually focused mind to reel on and on with endless opportunities. Little did I know that my vast knowledge on photography paled in comparison to that of my future husband! He was the lighting an aperture expert. I was the one with the creative eye to blend feelings and thoughts together in photos that capture those memories that matter most to those close to us. Together, with well wishes of a wonderful 40th birthday, a new spirit of photography filled our minds and our home and created a labor of love!  Soon our evenings, weekends and late nights would be filled with the joy of capturing those moments in life that fill your heart with joy and bring a smile and instant memory to your face. Happy Birthday to me! I simply can't wait to help capture those moments for our family and friends.
