Every once in a while , in the busy routine of day to day life there comes a beautiful warm fall day that instantly plucks you from your normal routine and demands that you take the day off...soak up the sun....explore the fall colors on the trees...smile and laugh with your family....and just enjoy the day. Nestled in the week before Thanksgiving was a perfect day to escape reality and just enjoy nature, family and sunshine. When I close my eyes I can hear the sound of the wheels on Cody's skateboard when he slowly glides past. I can hear the crushing of leaves under our feet as we talk through the paths to explore deeper and deeper into the trees. I can see the ripple of the waves of boats gone past...and the laughter of families and friends enjoying the day. Days like this are a blessing and a gentle reminder that there is always that peace and tranquility of the park and the trees. It's there for you...you just have to take the time to enjoy it...to seek it out and to let it in. I hope everyone finds the time within the upcoming Thanksgiving week to just sit back and soak up the joy of nature, friends and family.
